Despite fierce criticism from admirers, George Clooney remains in awe of his wife, Amal Clooney, the mysterious and lovely woman who won his heart and terminated his bachelorhood.
George Clooney is well-known for his appearances in both television and cinema. Some may recall him as a young handyman in the famous sitcom The Facts of Life, which aired from 1979 until 1988. In recent years, he has starred in films such as Ticket to Paradise, Ocean’s Eleven, and O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2022).
The couple’s amazing love story continued in 2014 with a proposal after only six months of dating.
“I dropped it on her, and she just kept saying, ‘Oh, my God,’ and ‘Wow!’” Clooney, now 61, recounted of the event. We just stayed there till I said, “Listen, I’m 52, and I’ve been on my knee for about 28 minutes, so I have to get an answer out of this, or I’m going to throw a hip out. I may not be able to get back up!”
Amal was pushed into the spotlight when she began dating Clooney, exposing her vulnerability to the unrelenting abuse of online trolls.
Among Amal’s many well-known clients are Julian Assange, the creator of Wikileaks, and Yulia Tymoshenko, the former prime minister of Ukraine who supported her country’s accession to the European Union. Amal is 45 years old right now. In 2019, she also addressed on behalf of the United Nations.
One commenter said she’s lovely, but her legs are shapeless sticks and sticky, while another said, “Too dreadfully thin, too very thin boney old thing.”
In the meantime, one person defended the attorney, saying, “Amal Clooney is a knowledgeable and experienced lawyer!! What does it matter how she dresses?”
In one case, a significant news organization ignored Amal’s extraordinary achievements.
“Amal Clooney, actor’s wife, represents Al-Jazeera journalist accused in Egypt of ties to extremists,” said the tweet.
Many reacted angrily to AP’s tweet, prompting the news organization to change it to “Human rights lawyer Amal Clooney condemns prison terms handed out to three Al-Jazeera English journalists.”
Amal responded delicately on BBC’s Entertainment Tonight, saying, “There’s not much I can do to stop it but keep going. Critically criticizing journalists for focusing on the wrong problems is encouraging because it shows that people expect more from their media.”
“In terms of raising my public profile, I believe all I can do is try to focus attention on what is important.” This may be advantageous to some clients. There isn’t much I can do if I’m at a work function and the reporting concentrates on unrelated concerns. Because I do not influence it, my strategy is to avoid dwelling on it and to carry on with my work and life, hoping that views would change.”
Amal’s adoring and caring husband is still over heels in love with her, and his frequent praise is heart-warming.
With their twin kids, Alexander and Ella, born in 2017, the couple spends a lot of time at their Lake Como seafront Villa Oleandra, where they first met in 2013.
“Every day of my life, I just feel lucky,” Clooney said in a 2017 interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “I’ve been fortunate in my career. I’m fortunate to have discovered the ideal mate.”
“Sometimes things don’t go as planned, but you end up with the person you were always meant to be with. That’s how I feel, and I know Amal feels the same way.”
