“Transforming a School Bus into a Cozy Home on Wheels”: Family Upgrades from School Bus to Stunning Double-Decker Tiny Home on Wheels

Meet Jeff, Anna, and their five kids, who turned a 40-foot school bus into a cool double-decker tiny house. They live a life full of adventures on the open road.

The bus is not just for driving; it’s their complete home. They cleverly redesigned the driver’s area for comfort, with an iPad for navigation and a backup camera. They even have a special GPS app for the bus.

Inside, the bus feels like a real home. There’s a comfy couch with seat belts and a mini-split unit. The couch also has storage underneath. Nearby, there’s a bookshelf filled with books because education is essential to them.

The kitchen is pretty normal, with a stove, big counters, and a washer-dryer. They made sure everything stays in place while driving.

What’s unique is the second story they added to the bus. It cost an extra $15,000 but makes the bus more spacious. The upper level has metal studs and weatherproof siding.

The bus is smart too. It has 96 gallons of water storage and solar power. They even use a special power bank for electricity. Jeff has a small workspace with the internet, and the kids have their own bunk beds with chalkboard walls.

The bathroom is small but has a fancy composting toilet and a nice shower.

The master bedroom has a big bed with storage underneath. The second floor is like the kids’ own space with rooms and a TV area. They decorated it with things they collected during their travels.

For Jeff, Anna, and the kids, the bus isn’t just a home; it’s their lifestyle. They faced challenges but made great friends and learned a lot on their journey. Jeff says, “If you have a dream, go for it. Don’t let anything stop you. Just do your dream.”
