Despite the dramatic uncoupling of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, the two produced some beautiful children in the time they were happily together.

Born into Hollywood aristocracy, Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt was an instant celebrity.
Anticipating a media circus surrounding the 2008 birth of twins Vivienne and Knox, parents Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie took control of the situation and sold the rights to the first images of the newborns to People and Hello! The images were sold for $14 million, which was donated to their non-profit organization, the Maddox-Jolie-Pitt Foundation.
In an interview with Rolling Stone in 2008, Brad Pitt spoke of the paparazzi violating their personal lives: “Well, we get run out of every major city. It’s what I’ve been b****ing about. These photographers are chasing the kids and calling their names.”
But the world wanted to know everything about the couple and their growing brood.
The youngest of six children, her twin brother Knox is a few seconds older, Vivienne Marcheline (named after Angelina Jolie’s mother) is now 15 and already considered one of the most beautiful young women in the world.
But, given that her parents are two extraordinarily gorgeous humans, it’s not surprising that their children are the same.
Mom and dad
It was in 1990 when a Missouri boy started shaking up Hollywood, stealing every scene with his heart-melting smile, capped by his bleached blond hair and effortless ability to act.
All he needed was a cowboy hat and a steamy scene with Geena Davis in 1991’s Thelma and Louise to win the affections of women, who go wild over his dimples and perfectly chiseled face.
And whether he’s playing a dirty psychopath in Kalifornia, a soft-hearted blood sucker in Interview with the Vampire, or an assassin in Bullet Train, Pitt never fails in attracting the attention of a population who just can’t get enough.
In the early 2000s, Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were one of Hollywood’s hottest couples, and many fans mourned when the couple divorced in 2005.
Only one month after Aniston announced the divorce, there were rumblings that the star of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was in a relationship with his Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-star, Angelina Jolie, now 48.
“To be intimate with a married man, when my own father cheated on my mother, is not something I could forgive,” she said, referring to her father’s infidelity. Her dad is Jon Voight, the award-winning actor who played the onscreen father to Jolie in 2001’s Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. She continued, “I could not look at myself in the morning if I did that. I wouldn’t be attracted to a man who would cheat on his wife.”
The couple married in 2014 and share biological children Shiloh, born in 2006, along with Knox and Vivienne. The family also includes adopted kids Maddox Jolie-Pitt (22), from Cambodia, daughter, Zahara Jolie-Pitt (18), from Ethiopia, Pax Thien (19) from Vietnam.
“They’re pretty great people and because there’s so many of them, I think they’ve had a very significant effect on each other. It’s not like I’m the head of anything. I’m very resolved not to treat any of her children differently I’m very honest with my kids. And I’m very human with my kids,” Jolie recently shared with People.
“I have six very individual human beings in my home. I am so excited about all the different stages and feelings and curiosities that they go through. Why wouldn’t you be? We’re supposed to help them figure out who they are. And you can’t figure out who they are if you don’t enthusiastically develop with them,” she continued.
Vivienne
“Every time I see or say Vivienne’s full name I think of my mom,” Jolie told Hello!
Referring to her personality, Vivienne’s doting dad adds, “I dare to say Viv is proving to resemble Ange in spirit, attitude and physicality. She is quite elegant like her mother.”
She’s also sharing the screen with her mom.
When she was only five Vivienne acted alongside her Oscar-winning mother in the 2014 film Maleficent, playing a young Princess Aurora.
Allowing their children to choose their own path, Jolie told Entertainment Weekly that Vivienne’s inclusion in the film was unexpected.
So far, it’s Vivienne’s only acting credit but now, she’s supporting her mom, the producer of the Broadway musical adaptation of The Outsiders, which opens in April 2024.
“Viv reminds me of my mother in that she isn’t focused on being the center of attention but in being a support to other creatives,” Jolie told E! News of her daughter, who’s her assistant for the stage production of the 1983 movie of the same name. “She’s very thoughtful and serious about theatre and working hard to best understand how to contribute.”
Generous soul
A huge animal lover, Vivienne was crushed when her pet bunny died in 2020. Speaking of the loss, Jolie told Harper’s Bazaar: “…Vivienne’s bunny passed away during a surgery, and we adopted two sweet little ones who are disabled. They need to be in pairs. They are so gentle and it has helped to focus on their care with her at this time. And on the dogs, and snake, and lizard…”
It’s hard to believe the twins are already 15 and it will be so exciting to see what they do with their lives.
