According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Marieangela King has labeled Cher as “categorically unfit” to manage her son, Elijah Blue Allman’s affairs. King’s statement raises concerns about Cher’s capacity to make decisions, noting her reliance on personal assistants for daily activities and her own admission of being a “manic depressive.”
King explicitly states, “[Cher] is not capable of managing her own affairs — let alone those of Elijah.” This assertion comes amidst Cher’s effort to control Allman’s financial decisions, which King believes could hamper his recovery from substance abuse.

Cher, 77, had filed for conservatorship over her son in December following concerns about his alleged substance abuse issues. Documents filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court describe Allman as “substantially unable to manage his financial resources,” necessitating an “urgently needed” intervention to protect his property from potential loss due to mental health and substance abuse issues.
