Bobbie Jean Carter, known as BJ and sibling to singers Nick and Aaron Carter, has died at the age of 41. Her mother, Jane Carter, confirmed the family’s loss, providing an emotional comment.
She expressed her grief, stating, “I am in shock from learning of the sudden death of my daughter, Bobbie Jean; and I will need time to process the terrible reality of this happening for the third time.” Jane Carter also requested privacy to grieve and emphasized the profound impact on Bobbie Jean’s eight-year-old daughter, Bella.
Her death occurred on a Saturday morning in Florida, although the details surrounding the incident remain unclear. She was known as BJ to friends and family and had played a role in the music industry.
During the peak of her brothers’ fame, particularly Aaron’s, Bobbie Jean worked as a wardrobe stylist and makeup artist. She was also featured on the reality TV show “House of Carters,” appearing in eight episodes.
Since then, the woman had led a life away from the limelight, unlike her famous siblings. Today, the remaining Carter siblings are Nick and Angel, with several half-siblings and step-siblings also part of the family.
A year has passed since the Carter family faced the heartbreaking loss of Aaron Carter. Nick, Aaron’s brother and a member of the Backstreet Boys, shared that the family is still coming to terms with the tragedy.
In a candid reflection, he said, “It’s definitely been tough for me and my family. It is still something that we are still processing, to this day.” The singer spoke about the difficulty of overcoming such a loss, indicating that it’s a continuous struggle for the entire family.
Aaron was found deceased in his Lancaster, California home on November 5, at the age of 34. He was discovered in his bathtub, with prescription pills and drug paraphernalia present in his bedroom, according to police reports.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner revealed that his death was caused by drowning after inhaling difluoroethane and consuming alprazolam.
Nick expressed a desire to find a meaningful way forward, stating, “I don’t think we will ever really get over it. It’s been a lot for us, and we are finding ways to try and take a really tragic situation in our family and do something with it.”
The family’s grief is compounded by the recent loss of Bobbie Jean, making this a particularly challenging time for the Carters.
